Srinagar, February 11 (KNO) : Doctors association Kashmir (DAK) on Monday threatened to launch statewide agitation to press for resolution of its long pending demands which have not been fulfilled by government despite repeated assurances from time to time. Dr Suhail Naik, President DAK as per a statement issued to KNO said that "Our patience is running out as government has not fulfilled even a single demand of ours so far" He further said that "DAK was expecting the governor led administration to be different and sensitive to the problems of doctors but it has also disappointed us unfortunately. Our main demands of restoration of Seniority in administration has not been taken seriously; people who are influential politically connected and blue eyed have been entrusted with job of running administration despite our repeated pleas in this regard". He further added that, "our other demands including two and half day additional salary, Caderization of medical officers and consultants is gathering dust in the civil Secretariat. Despite almost a month long strike by National Health Mission(NHM)the government has failed to break the deadlock thus creating problems for people at large and regular staff who have been overstretched now to elastic limits. DAK through this press release is warning the government to full fill demands of doctors including NHM or else be ready to face their agitation soon.(KNO)
